This is a young patient having problems with spontaneous involuntary closure of eyes while driving and while doing work on a computer for three years.

This condition is called blepharospasm and he was started treatment at Dr. Borse’s clinic. He was given a botulinum toxin injection around the eyes every six months. now he has 90% recovered and he can do his work even can drive his car. The results are satisfactory. Thank you

Dr Reshma Puranik on behalf of Dr Puranik cancer clinic organised a lecture on “Recent advances in cancer management “at IMA MULTICON 2021.
Cancer cases are increasing day by day and account for one of the major cause of deaths all over the world.
There have been new developments in the way cancer patients are diagnosed and treated. Also the side effects of chemotherapy can be minimised by various medicine s now available to counteract the side effects of chemotherapy.
The biospy of cancer patient is subjected to molecular tests and analaysed for presence of targetable mutations. We now have many targeted therapy , biological therapy options for treatment of cancer patients. Immunotherapy is one of the latest treatment options available for cancer patients with least side effects.
Cancer treatments are advanced and cancer can now be treated at any stage.

More than 150 women employees attended the program . There was discussion about common cancer s affecting women and the ways to prevent cancers alongwith screening for early detection.
Breast Cancer Awareness Workshop

October is celebrated as breast cancer awareness month. Breast cancer is the leading cause of cancer in females all over the world. 1 in every 8 females suffers from this cancer in her lifetime. It is important to create awareness about this cancer so that it is detected early and can be cured
On occasion on world cancer awareness month, Dr Puranik cancer clinic in association with the Pune doctor s association organised a CME on breast cancer.
Speakers for the event were Dr Reshma Puranik medical oncologist who spoke on breast cancer causes, screening and treatment.
Dr snita sinukumar surgical oncologist spoke on surgical treatment of breast cancer and reconstruction post-surgery.
There was a workshop for demonstration of self-breast examination, how to read a mammogram and how to use a Port device for chemotherapy.
The program was well attended and received by all doctors of PDA.
