Covid 19 pandemic has gripped the world and it is posing a threat to all of us today, especially to people with comorbidities like cancer. Cancer patients have more chances of getting corona infection as well as increase chances of complications due to their immunocompromised status.
These are the few tips for cancer patients to avoid getting a corona infection.
- First of all, as much as possible stay at home and avoid going outside for non-essential work which can be done by family members.
- Patients should try to work from home and Order essential things like medicines online. They should go for teleconsultation instead of in-person OPD visits. Hand sanitisation must be practised as diligently as possible.
- In unavoidable circumstances when patient needs to go out, patient should wear a well fitted mask and face shield. They should follow social distancing. After returning home, a bath should be taken. Maintaining your immunity by eating a protein-rich diet, drinking adequate water and sufficient sleep is important.
